The registration link for the 2024-2025 is live! 10U-14U Open House/Evaluation Period will be October 23rd through November 1st with Tryouts being November 2nd. HS level teams which are 15U-18U will have Open House/Evaluation Period November 12th through the 22nd with Tryouts being November 23rd. Storm will not host a HS level Open House/Evaluation until State Finals are done! All 3 Evaluation dates and Tryouts for each age groups are posted below!
**Please know you can ONLY attend 3 Evaluations TOTAL within one club, no exceptions. So if you are unsure of the age group you are trying out for, you can attend 3 MAX! So if you are able to play 11s and tryout with 12s, coaches will communicate where you best fit within the program. Same goes for 13 and 14.
**10U tryouts are for 10 Thunder ONLY which is non travel and competes locally in 4 half day tournaments! Court size, net height and where you serve from is different from 12U/11U. If you are an advanced 10U player and want to compete in all AZ Region 12U/11U events and be considered for 11T (Travel team), 11 Lightning or 11 Boltz (local AZ events only on 12U/11U height net with full court), you must attend the 11U Evals and Tryouts.
**Storm coaches within your daughters age group will communicate with you at Clinics or Evaluations which age group best fits your daughters opportunity for positive development and growth. We want our players set up for success where they can thrive and improve!

Please follow the steps prior to signing up for any Evaluation or Tryouts!
Prior to signing up for an evaluation or tryout, you want to make sure your daughter is placed in the correct age group for the upcoming season!! The new age definition calendar allows players in the past that had to play up, to now play their grade. At Storm, we do not recommend for you to play down an age level as you should want to play your grade. Example: 7th grader should play 13s, not 12s. An 8th grader should play 14s, not 13s as that's a huge jump to go from 13U to HS level the following season. And of course HS level should want to play with their graduation class for recruiting purposes.
PLEASE PRINT OFF ALL FORMS AND COMPLETE. MAKE 3 PHOTO COPIES OF ALL FORMS ON TRYOUT DAY AND SUBMIT AT CHECK-IN. (COPY 1- AZ REGION, COPY 2-STORM FILES, COPY 3-COACHES FOLDER FOR TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN)
Copy of Birth Certificate or Copy of Passport accepted!
***ALL participants new to club volleyball, AZ Region and new to AZ Storm Elite! If you can submit 2 copies (1st copy for AZ Region and the 2nd for Storm File) very helpful. When in doubt, just bring a copy!
Private lessons are restricted during the Open House/Evaluation period for each applicable age group. No private lessons may be held for a player in the age group of the Open House/Evaluation period in effect. The “private lessons” were being abused by clubs to organize teams before tryouts and were also keeping kids from being able to attend other Open House sessions. THERE IS NO PRIVATE LESSONS OR TRAINING 10 DAYS PRIOR TO TRYOUT DAY!
Any coach found in violation will result in the affiliated club being fined $300 per person, per event. If the coach is unaffiliated at the time, the club which hires them will be fined.
Please note: Refunds are not provided for any reason unless we are forced to cancel the session and it cannot be rescheduled.
